Award Winning Waste Reduction
The
Bluewater Recycling Association is a rural based non-profit organization
developing and maintaining facilities on behalf of, and in cooperation
with the municipal sector that provides integrated waste reduction and
environmental services ranging from collection and processing to
marketing superior quality products and services.
The Association services approximately 150,000 people in 63,000
households with its material recovery facility and fleet of 34
collection vehicles.
The 55 people employed by the Association handle more than 25,000 tonnes of material yearly, which represents a substantial portion of the overall waste stream. We are regarded as a leader in the industry when it comes to comprehensive waste diversion and cooperative marketing.
Our mission is to provide ethical, innovative, effective, quality resource management services. We will carry out our mission efficiently, safely, and in an environmentally responsible manner, ultimately enabling our members to meet their environmental commitments.
