Paper gift wrap can technically be recycled but it is not accepted in the blue box or wheelie bin because of cross contamination from tape, bows, ribbons, or excessive ink. As a result, all gift wrap must go in the garbage.

Plastic or foil must go in the garbage.

Better yet, reuse paper or wrap gifts in fabric, reusable gift bags, baskets or tins. Create your own gift wrap from comics or old calendars.
