Shavings and scraps of clean wood can go to your local landfill.

For curbside pickup: wood scraps can be up to 4 inches in diameter and 3 feet in length.

  • Put pieces in cart or tie in bundles weighing no more than 45 lbs.
  • Shavings or scraps of painted or treated wood must go in the garbage.
  • Sawdust should be bagged or boxed and placed in the garbage.

You may also contact a local bulk or containerized waste removal company found it the Yellow Pages under the heading rubbish removal. Mars Environmental is one of those companies that may service your area.
